Salmon with Tzatziki Sauce

(Edit - in July of 2007 I posted a great recipe for homemade Tzatziki Sauce. You can use that link to find the recipe.)

This isn't really a recipe, but someone asked me to add it to the blog so they could remember the name of the sauce. Tzatziki sauce is a Greek sauce (sometimes called "white sauce" in those fast food yogurt places.) If you've had a gyro, you've probably had a variation of it served on the gyro. The real thing has yogurt, sour cream, thinly chopped cucumbers, garlic and dill. You can make your own Tzatziki, but it's also available to buy pre-made.

Salmon with Tzatziki Sauce
Cook some salmon, either on the grill (my favorite method) , in your stove top grill pan, or bake it, and then serve it with the Tzatziki sauce for a delicious combination. Tzatziki is also good on other grilled fish, lamb, chicken, or beef. Costco sells it in big containers, and the Costco brand is very good. It stays good in the refrigerator for more than a month.
