Weekend Herb Blogging Recaps: Second Year

Beginning November 3, 2008, Weekend Herb Blogging will be managed by Haalo from Cook (almost) Anything At Least Once. Here is where to find the Weekend Herb Blogging Information on her blog.

Weekend Herb Blogging is a weekly food blogging event where participants share recipes and information featuring herbs, plants, veggies and flowers. The event was started by Kalyn as a joke because other bloggers were participating in Weekend Dog Blogging and Weekend Cat Blogging and Kalyn had a vegetable garden but no pets. Now Kalyn's Kitchen posts the recap on the first Weekend of each month, and all the other weeks food bloggers from all over the world take turns hosting.

When I became clear that this event wasn't going to die down any time soon, I decided I was going to have to divide the page where the recaps were stored. You can see Weekend Herb Blogging Recaps Weeks #1 - #52 by following that link.

All food bloggers are invited to participate in this event. Here are the offical rules for Weekend Herb Blogging. Check Who's Hosting Weekend Herb Blogging to see who the host is each week, link your post to that blog with the words Weekend Herb Blogging, then send the link by 3:00 on Sunday afternoon, Utah time, and we will include you in the recap of people around the world who are writing about herbs, plants, veggies, and flowers.

If you'd like to host some weekend, send an e-mail to kalynskitchen AT comcast DOT net. The recap is published either on Sunday night or Monday, depending on the preference of that week's host.

Posts may include links to my affiliate account at, and this blog earns a few cents on the dollar if readers purchase the items I recommend, so thanks for supporting my blog when you shop at Amazon!

More to Chew On:

  1. Kalyn, have you had any recent updates regarding when the recap for WHB #95 will be published? It was my first time to participate and I'm getting antsy =)

  2. Mary Frances, I have heard nothing from Melissa, and am wondering what's happened just as much as everyone. I hope it's just an internet thing and that she's ok. You could try writing directly to her and see if you get an answer.

  3. Mary Frances, I did send an e-mail to Melissa and she assures me the recap will be coming soon. This was on Monday 8-20 that she told me this.

I'm so happy you're taking the time to comment on Kalyn's Kitchen! I love hearing from people who stop by, especially if you're sharing feedback or asking questions about a recipe I've posted here.

I've recently changed my comment settings so people can comment without signing in, but you will need to check the box to show you're a live person, and comments on older posts won't show up until I publish them. Thanks for understanding!

And if you really like the recipe, Pins, Shares, Tweets, and Yums are always appreciated!
