Gluten Free Recipes

For years I wanted a gluten-free recipe index category for Kalyn's Kitchen, but it seemed like a daunting task since literally hundreds of my recipes are naturally gluten free. Finally I realized that what might be helpful for gluten-free readers was an index page for dishes where I've adapted the recipe in a way that eliminated flour, breadcrumbs, or wheat products. On this page you will find mostly that type of gluten-free recipe.


There are hundreds of naturally gluten-free recipes in other categories, especially Phase One Recipes, Soups, Salads, and Breakfast Dishes.

For the benefit of those following The South Beach diet, notations after each recipe listing indicate Kalyn's opinion as to which phase of the diet that recipe can be used for.

Oven-Fried Green Tomatoes with Sriracha-Ranch Dipping Sauce (all phases - nut flours are not officially approved for phase one but only a small amount of flour sticks to the tomatoes, so I would eat this in small portions for phase one.)

Low Sugar Flourless Apple Crisp Made with Olive Oil (phase 2 or 3)

Low Sugar and Flourless Apple and Cranberry Crumble (phase 2 or 3)


Gluten-Free Fish
Mediterranean Shrimp over Spinach (all phases) 

Quick and Easy Pecan-Crusted Dijon Salmon (all phases)

Socca (Garbanzo or Chickpea Flatbread Pancake from France) (phase 2 or 3)

Gluten-Free and South Beach Diet Friendly Baked Brown Rice Tortilla Chips (phase 2 or 3)

Crispy Roasted Chickpeas (Garbanzo Beans) with Moroccan Spices (all phases)

Chickpeas (Garbanzo Beans) Roasted with Tamari and Sea Salt (all phases, use wheat-free Tamari)


Gluten-Free Salads (there are hundreds more gluten-free salads, but these are things that might normally be made with wheat)
