Signs of Spring - Forsythia Buds

The forsythia bushes by my porch are getting quite a few buds, so I know soon they'll have lovely yellow flowers. Some of my neighbors south-facing bushes have flowers already. All this makes me feel very happy because before long I'll be able to start planting things in the garden and nurturing the perennial herbs, a few of which are already perking up. Stay tuned.

I just forced a bunch of these in a vase last week, and they completely brighten up the house. It's impossible to be depressed when you've got bright sunny flowers blooming in the house.

Forsythia - my favorite early spring bush...unfortunately we won't be seeing them around here for probably another month.

So thanks for the glimmer of hope - the light just around the corner - winter gone at last!

It has been raining here all day. This is a lovely photo that reminds me that yes ... spring is in the air.

Hi Kalyn, i'm so getting behind with this WHB. Yesterday, i planted some seedlings of bak choi, Mizuna, coriander, basil and chives. With any hope and maybe a bit of luck too, they should start to come up in two to three weeks. By then i should have something to write about.

We're having a lovely weather today and yesterday too. Spring is definitely on it's way. I harvested some daffodils from the garden yesterday too.
