Grilled Asparagus with Parmesan

In April 2007 I posted an updated version of this recipe with a photo.   (At that time it wasn't possible to move the post forward without breaking the link, so that was a new post.)   I have removed this old post so the recipe doesn't come up twice in search engines, bit I am leaving this page here in case anyone has a bookmark for the old recipe.  If so, you can still find it by using the link above.

Kalyn,
One would think Parmigiano and asparagus were invented at the same time, they go together so well.

Now I know what to do with the asparagus I swiped from my Uncle this morning.

It has taken me a million years to learn all the best ways to cook asparagus. (Which makes me a million and one.)
I think it was Kevin who taught me to bake oiled asparagus in the oven. I did that today for a thrilling recipe I'll be writing up soon. OMG.
So: Kalyn. Grilled asparagus with Parmesan. OMG.
Steven! You can swipe asparagus from your uncle? OMG!

This - with a squeeze of lemon - was what I had for dinner yesterday night. A great dish!

Great recipe. I took the asparagus and put it over a grill with filleted and stuffed pork (also incredible).

Thanks for the info!

Live in apt in city and no access to grill, recommendations for indoor kitchen grill to be used?

Anonymous I would just cook this in a cast-iron grill pan with ridges that sits on the stove. (You can see an example of what I mean by a grill pan in this post. Roasted asparagus is also a great alternative to grilling if you haven't tried that.
