Besides being Kalyn's blog design consultant, confidant, listening ear, tech support, occasional substitute blogger, and wonderful friend, one of my other jobs as her little brother is to embarrass her on her birthday. This is a picture of Kalyn probably about the time she was named Betty Crocker Homemaker of the Year. If there had been blogs back then she certainly would have had one. (I was probably somewhere in that same room wearing one of Kalyn's bikinis and her gigantic sunglasses. She and my sisters had a thing for dressing me up.) Have a wonderful birthday Kalyn. Kalyn, you haven't changed a bit!

Wow, I am a bit awed by so many nice birthday wishes. For all those who are wondering, I do have that same family CD where Rand got this photo, and I'll be looking for that picture of Rand in the bikini. His birthday is December 28, so I think a little payback may be in order.
Reading your comments about the photo, it's nice to realize that there are quite a few of you out there who are at least close to my age. "I'm Telling You Now", Leslie Gore, and people remembering when we set our hair. It's fun to know that I'm not the only one on the internet who screamed at the Beatles and wondered whether Paul was really dead.
