Friday Food Porn: Memories of Christmas

It's Friday, when I take a day off from writing about the South Beach Diet food I'm cooking and have fun showing shots of things I *may or may not* have eaten. If you're a new South Beach Dieter who's just discovered this blog, this is a reminder not to take your diet too seriously! Even though I'm about as committed to the South Beach way of eating as you can get, there are still special occasions where I'll eat whatever I want. Just not too often!

This week I'm sharing photos of food from two Christmas parties last month. It was Christmas, and although I may have eaten a few things that were a bit of a splurge, you can be sure I didn't eat all this food! That's the fun of Friday Food Porn. If you've been reading this blog a while, what's the one thing here that you know I couldn't possibly have resisted?

Sushi, which I'm guessing was from somewhere like Costco, but doesn't it look yummy?

Some type of almond cookies, which I think were homemade, although I never did find out who brought them. They looked wonderful though.

Antipasto platter, with lots of delicious options here for someone who's trying to avoid sweets.

Veggies and dip, and although this photo didn't turn out to be the best, this was really colorful.

Crostini with gorgonzola and honey. Doesn't that combination sound like it would be great?

I made this artichoke and red pepper dip, from a recipe I got from the parent of a student. Served with whole grain crackers, this was really good.

Finally, another not-so-hot photo but this plate of Feta and Greek olives was another great offering that didn't break too many diet rules. The Feta was first-rate, a gift from my friend Mary.
