Friday Night Links: Tasty Finds From this Week's Blog Reading

Another Friday night when I don't have photos to share, but scroll to the end to see where I'll be taking photos next! Meanwhile, here are some tasty blog posts I found this week that you may enjoy.

Two of the foods my dad loves most are peaches and black beans, so a recipe that has his name all over it is the Black Bean and Peach Soup from The Perfect Pantry.

I love dishes that combine greens with pasta, such as my perennial favorite Spaghetti with Italian Sausage and Arugula, so the idea of Kale Pesto caught my eye at Cucina Bella. I'm hoping to make this with some of the Red Russian Kale I have left in my garden.

I'm always impressed by people who are good at baking, so I was intrigued when Nika from Nika's Culinaria posted step-by-step photos of Making Challah Bread with the Kids.

This summer I did a whole series of posts at Blogher.com all about Cooking with Fresh Herbs. (That link will take you to the list of posts.) Now it's time for All About Drying and Freezing Fresh Herbs. If you have herbs you'd like to preserve there are some good tips here.

For anyone who liked the sound of my latest Chile Rellenos Bake, there are a lot more tasty sounding examples of New Mexico cuisine over at Karina's Kitchen, where she's just posted The Best of New Mexico.

October 1 was World Vegetarian Day, and to celebrate the occasion, Susan at Fat Free Vegan Kitchen published a great post about Making Tofu. There's also a contest to win a soy-milk maker if you leave a comment.

Finally, about those future photos I've promised. Next Friday I'll be on my way to Boston for the BlogHer Reach Out Conference where I'll be participating on a panel with fellow food bloggers Lydia, Sarah, and Nika. After the conference ends, I'll be staying around for a few days to hang out in Boston, so hopefully that will provide some photo opportunities.

Kalyn;

Your more than welcome to pop over to my cooking school to see the kids in action. We're right on the green line in Newton. It would be great to meet you.

Italian Dish, thanks. For sure will post about it.

Karina, will hug everyone for you.

Jo, thanks for the invitation. Lydia is my tour guide so I'll have to see what she has planned.
