Why I Love Sugar-Free Ketchup
Sugar-Free Ketchup is not something I use in large amounts, but when I do want some ketchup I don’t want it to be loaded with sugar! And this brand is the one I’ve used for while now, so today I’m writing about Why I Love Sugar-Free Ketchup and recommending it as one of my Kalyn’s Kitchen Picks!

This post talks about Why I love Sugar-Free Ketchup. My brother-in-law Kelly is a big ketchup fan, and he eats it on just about everything! I’m not especially a big ketchup eater, but I do like to have some when I have scrambled eggs or fried eggs and of course sometimes I use ketchup for flavoring it in a recipe.
I used to buy a famous name brand of reduced-sugar ketchup that was lower in sugar than most of the ketchup on the market. But then I discovered G. Hughes Sugar-Free Ketchup at one of the stores in Salt Lake, and for quite a while now that’s the one I always buy!
I love that it has only one gram of sugar per tablespoon, which is about 75% less sugar that most ketchup on the market. And I think the flavor is great, and I’ve enjoyed this ketchup without sugar on my eggs and also in every recipe where I use ketchup for flavoring!

Why I love Sugar-Free Ketchup:
It’s true that ketchup is a condiment most people don’t eat in huge amounts. But did you know that a 20 oz. jar of traditional ketchup contains about 2/3 cup of sugar? For me the slight bit of extra effort to buy sugar-free ketchup is worth it. And switching out ketchup with added sugar for this sugar-free ketchup is such an easy change to make if you’re trying to avoid carbs and sugars!
Where do I buy this Ketchup?
I do find this brand in some of my local stores, so thats where I buy it most of the time. But you can buy G. Hughes Sugar-Free Ketchup (affiliate link) at Amazon.com if you don’t find it where you normally shop.

Thanks for sharing, you are a great resource and I like your recipes. Â This product has sucralose which cause me digestive issues, as do all the “oses”. I have always been one of those organic, no GMO, etc folks, so I have to make my own. I am older and retired so have the time, but this is a good option for people with less time.
I bet the homemade ketchup is delicious! And so glad you are enjoying the recipes.
Sucralose is an artificial sweetener chemically altered and made from sugar. I am Canadian and have never seen this particular product where I live. Â I assume it is not sold here.
I make my own ketchup, and if I want sweetener in it, I use raw, organic honey.
No worries, everyone gets to make their own food choices.
I do like most of his products and haven’t tried this one. However, Heinz No Sugar Added ketchup is less than 1 gram per tablespoon. I’m picky about my ketchups and Heinz is my go to. Just thought you’d want to know there are other good products out there, too!

Does it contain sucrolose?
Yes it does contain sucralose.
Ingredients: Vine-Ripened Tomato Concentrate, Distilled Vinegar, Modified Cornstarch, Salt, Garlic Powder, Onion Powder, Spices And Sucralose.
I haven’t made this recipe yet but I have been using g. Hughes Sugar Free Ketchup for a long time now. I also love their brand of Sugar Free BBQ Sauce!!
Sounds like I might have to try that Barbecue Sauce!
Yes, Kalyn, you definitely should, it’s great.
I stopped buying Heinz ketchup because it contains high fructose corn syrup. But we love the organic ketchup from Trader Joe's. I haven't looked at the sugar content, though…just that it contained something real instead of something artificial.
This is what I use also. It's very good.
