It’s Christmas Eve, and I’m spending a few days celebrating Christmas with my sister’s family including some very cute kids.  This may be a short edition of Things I’m Thinking About, but I do want to share a few Christmas things I spotted on the web, and of course I want to send out wishes for a happy holiday season to my wonderful readers.  My life is enriched so much by the nice messages I get almost daily from people who are enjoying the healthy food.  Happy Holidays everyone and thanks for your support of my blog!  And no matter how you’re celebrating this magical the season, I hope you’ll be able to spend time with those you love, hopefully enjoying some good holiday food.

I won’t be working on many more new recipes in 2013, but for the rest of this year I’ll be sharing some of my picks for Top Ten Recipes in various categories.  I started out with Top Ten Vegetarian Recipes, and coming over the next few days will be the Top Ten Meat, Poultry, and Fish Recipes, Top Ten Slow Cooker Recipes, and then to finish the year, Top Ten Phase One Recipes from Other Bloggers. I hope you enjoy seeing these favorite recipes I made in 2013.  Now, on to a few things I’m thinking about today.

My brother Mark and his wife Lisa invited me to a concert of The Piano Guys, and if you haven’t seen it, I promise This song will melt your heart.

If it’s freezing cold where you are, you could always build a frozen igloo in the backyard!

This Time Lapse of the lights from the city of LA is pretty spectacular.

I love the idea of The Red Plate as a family tradition!

And finally, for anyone who’s starting out 2014 with a resolution to lose a few pounds, here are the lowest carb veggies, and I think I’m extra happy I like arugula salads like this one!

(You can use the label Things I’m Thinking About to see more round-ups like this one.)
