Kalyn's Kitchen Picks: Eat Well Embrace Life Edamame Hummus

Eat Well Embrace Life Edamame Hummus
This Edamame Hummus is a tasty treat that will get you to eat your veggies!

I'm always on the lookout for healthy options for a snack because I'm one of those people who nibbles all day long, and those nibbles can really add up if you're snacking on the wrong things!  Of course I've loved Hummus as a healthy snack for years, but I did a little double-take when I spotted this Edamame Hummus from Eat Well Embrace Life (at Costco, where else?)  First of all, don't you love Eat Well Embrace Life as the name of a food company?  But what really got me excited about this product was the nutritional information on the label showing two tablespoons of this hummus has only 2 carbs.  That's really great news because after all, who actually eats only two tablespoons of hummus?   The hummus is also gluten-free and sugar-free, and although it has 7 grams of fat in 2 tablespoons, it's good fat like sesame oil and olive oil.  Best of all, I think this stuff is really good with vegetables, and anything that gets me to eat more veggies is a winner in my book!

I'm loving Eat Well Enjoy Life Edamame Hummus scooped up with vegetables like red bell pepper strips, celery, cauliflower, sugar snap peas, jicama slices, and broccoli.  If you've tried this delicious hummus, let us know in the comments about your favorite way to eat it.

Here are a few more other hummus recipes I've enjoyed:
Mediterranean Tostada with Hummus, Feta, and Kalamata Olives
Sweet Potato Hummus with Olive Oil and Sumac
Hummus and Cucumber Appetizer Bites with Sesame Seeds
Green Garbanzo Hummus with Sweet Mini-Pepper Dippers

  1. The first time I tried edamame hummus was when I found it at Trader Joe's. I'll have to look at their labels the next time I'm in the store, to see how the carbs compare with this brand. Did you find this at Costco?

  3. Can you tell me if this is either organic or non-gmo project verified? Thanks.

  4. It doesn't say either of those on the label, but the first ingredient is Non-GMO edamame.

  5. I love this hummus! I use it as a substitute for mayo on sandwiches and burgers. It's so flavorful, I think I prefer it to the chickpea variety.

  6. Kiersten, I agree it's more flavorful than regular hummus. Although regular hummus has it's place. All hummus is good!

  8. Tami, so sorry to hear that! I shop a lot at the SLC Costco, which I think is one of the biggest ones in the country, and even the one closer to my house doesn't always have the same things. Sometimes you can ask them to order it though!
