One of my favorite ingredients to use to make healthier Mexican food is this Hatch Green Chile Enchilada Sauce. And kudos to the company for making this great sauce gluten-free! They used to have two varieties, but now all their green chile enchilada sauce is gluten-free.

I’ve been a bit obsessed with this sauce recently, and after I counted up how many recipes I’ve used it in, I decided it’s time to officially designate this as one of my Kalyn’s Kitchen Picks!

Is Hatch Green Chile Enchilada Sauce low in carbs?

Although I feel this can definitely be used as a healthy carb-conscious ingredient, the sauce does have 28 carbs per can. But you’re not eating it in huge amounts, and when you use it in a recipe that makes eight servings and includes a lot of healthy protein or vegetables, the amount of carbs per serving will be relatively low.

Where can you buy Hatch Green Chile Enchilada Sauce?

In Utah I can find this slightly-spicy sauce and other Hatch products at most grocery stores. If you can’t find it where you live you can order Hatch Green Chile Enchilada Sauce (affiliate link) from Amazon.com.
