Today I’m celebrating 12 years of Kalyn’s Kitchen with a question for all my faithful readers! And it’s been so much fun sharing recipes with you for 12 wonderful years; thanks for all the support!

Today Kalyn’s Kitchen is turning 12 years old, can you even believe it? I absolutely never imagined that happening or how blogging would impact my life when I wrote this humble little post 12 years ago today. I’ve shared the story about how I lost 42 Pounds and Became a Food Blogger many times, so I won’t repeat those details again, but what a life lesson this blog has been about how if you just keep working at something it can turn out to be so much more than you ever imagined!

Twelve years have brought so many changes in blogging and this blog that I couldn’t begin to list them all, but one thing that hasn’t ever changed is how absolutely rewarding it is when someone tells me how my recipes are helping them to eat healthier meals, lose weight, or control their blood sugar without having to give up delicious food. And this blog would never have lasted 12 years without the wonderful people who visit here often, and that support from readers means the world to me.

Along the blogging journey my personal way of eating has changed from a strict South Beach Diet approach to one that’s more focused on carb-conscious eating in general, and the blog has evolved into a site that features carb-conscious recipes for every type of diet.

And more changes are coming in the fall of 2017! I’m on the waiting list with a web designer who’s created some of the most popular food sites on the web for some big blog updates. That means I’m finally going to take the plunge, switch to WordPress, and add lots of new functionality to Kalyn’s Kitchen that I hope my readers will really like!

Fellow bloggers will understand what a big deal it is to change blogging platforms after 12 years, but for readers who don’t know much about the mechanics of blogging, you can be sure that I’ll do my best to keep the parts of the blog that work well now, while adding features that will make it easier to use and more professional looking.

Which brings me to the question I’d like to ask of everyone who’s reading this:

If you could change one thing about Kalyn’s Kitchen,
what would you want to change, and why?

Thank you, thank you, thank you in advance for your feedback to help me improve Kalyn’s Kitchen for you. And THANK YOU again to everyone who has helped make this blogging journey so rewarding and fulfilling for me. Blogging has enriched my life in countless ways, and I am grateful every day for all the blog helpers, blogging friends, readers, and family members who have been a part of that. And even though occasionally people ask when I am going to actually retire, right now I’m looking forward to happily sharing recipes for many years to come.
